Understanding by Design

As part of on-going professional development and training at Denver Academy, a course on Understanding by Design was offered to teachers this summer. This 10-hour course used the excellent resources of the Professional Development Workbook (McTighe & Wiggins: ASCD) and Integrating Differentiated Instruction + Understanding by Design (Tomlinson & McTighe: ASCD).  Here you'll find highlights of the workshop, as well as examples created by teachers and related web resources.
