Making Meaning Through Language

Helping students and teachers discover how learning happens.

For more than three decades, I have explored one enduring question: How do people learn? My work brings together curriculum, cognitive science, and instructional practice to help educators create classrooms where every student can succeed.

Sharing research, ideas, and practical strategies that strengthen teaching and learning.

I partner with schools and organizations to help educators better understand how people learn. Drawing on research in memory, attention, and instructional practice, my presentations combine evidence with real-world experience and leave participants with practical strategies they can use immediately.
